WSC '95 Keynote Speakers

WSC '95 is proud to provide two excellent keynote speakers. This year's main conference keynote speaker is Jerry O. Tuttle, Vice President, Business Development and Chief Staff Officer, Oracle Government. A special focus of this year's conference is military applications. To help us emphasize this focus, a Military Track Keynote Speaker has been added to the program, Major General Joseph J. Redden.


Jerry O. Tuttle

Jerry Tuttle is responsible for business development, strategic direction, and creating a positive and productive work environment for Oracle Government. He is regarded as an information technology strategist.

Jerry joined Oracle in January, 1994 upon retirement as a Vice Admiral after a 39-year Navy career. In 1989, he became Director, Space and Electronic Warfare, an assignment he held until retirement. Prior to that, he was Director, Command, Control, and Communications Systems, The Joint Staff. During his Navy career, he received numerous military decorations, awards, and citations. He authored Navy's Copernicus C41 architecture and the Sonata Information Warfare architecture. He is also the author of numerous articles about C41 and space electronic warfare.

Jerry received a Communications Engineering degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, having attended the undergraduate and postgraduate schools simultaneously. He graduated with honors from the Naval War College, and concurrently received a master's degree in International Relations from George Washington University.


Maj. General Joseph J. Redden

Major General Joseph J. Redden is the commander of the Joint Warfighting Center, Fort Monroe, Virginia.

The general was commissioned in June 1964. He has previously served as the Commandant of Cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and as the Deputy Chief of Staff Plans, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Hickham Air Force Base.

The general earned a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado and a master's degree in political science from Auburn University.
