WSC 95 Program Events
Some of the special programs are
WSC Conference activities extend into the evening
hours. As an attendee to the conference there are several evening
events you are invited to attend.
- Sunday, December 3
- 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
- Ph. D. Student Colloquium.
This is an opportunity for Ph.D.
students to discuss their research projects in brief presentations.
- Monday, December 4
- 5:15 - 6:15 p.m.
- Joint Business Meeting of ACM/SIGSIM
and IEEE computer Society/ TCSim
- 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- Conference Reception. This
reception is included in your registration fee, so please be sure
to join us. See below for more information.
- Tuesday, December 5
- 5:15 - 6:00 p.m.
- Business Meeting of TIMS/College on Simulation
- 6:00 - 6:45 p.m.
- Business Meeting of the Society for Computer Simulation
- 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- User Group Meetings. User Group meetings will be held
by a variety of simulation vendors. This is an excellent opportunity
to meet with developers and discuss your experiences, or ask questions.
- Sunday Evening International Guest and First Time Attendees Reception
- All international attendees and first time attendees at the
conference are invited to attend a special reception in their
honor. We introduce the program and provide an experienced attendee's
tips for conference attendance.
- Monday Evening Conference Reception
- All conference attendees are invited to attend to this reception.
It is a great opportunity to meet other simulationists. Hors
d'ouevres and beverages will be served.
TIMS/College
on Simulation will sponsor a Ph.D.-student colloquium Sunday,
December 3, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Doctoral students, nearing
completion of their dissertation, are invited to present a 15-minute
talk on their research. Students who wish to participate
should submit a brief abstract by November 1, 1995.
Speaker and session chairs are invited and encouraged
to attend a complimentary breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30 am on the
day of their presentation. This is an opportunity to get together
with the session chair and the other speakers in your session
to discuss timing of speeches, handling of questions, audio/visual
requirements, and other presentation logistics.
